Election to Ratify Tentative Agreement

The HUCTW Elections Committee has certified the results of yesterday's ratification vote, and the Tentative Agreement has been approved by a wide margin. With nearly 40% of all members taking part in the voting, 89% (1,300) voted in favor of ratification. Thank you to everyone who participated in the negotiations and the election.

Election polling for ratification of the Tentative Agreement took place on Thursday, July 22. Please remember to bring a photo ID with you in order to vote. For voting times and locations, please see the Notice of Election.
Please note the following changes to voting times and locations: MGH Credit Union: New Time: 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. Observatory: New Location: Pratt Room, P-G03, 4 Biolabs: New Location: BL 1075 Northwest Science Building: Clarification: 1st floor lobby, near cafe HLS, Pound Hall: New Location: 2nd floor, elevator lobby 219 Western Ave: New Time: 11:10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Murr Athletic Center: New Time: 3:40 - 4:30 p.m. HBS, 230 Western Ave: New Time: 12:10 - 1:00 p.m.
On June 30, the Announcement of Tentative Agreement was posted on the web site and e-mailed to all members. On July 12, Detailed Summary of the Tentative Agreement was e-mailed to all members as well as posted on the web site. On July 12, the Notice of Election with details of voting locations and times was mailed to all members at their work addresses as well as posted on the web site. You must bring a photo ID with you in order to vote. The Federal government and AFSCME election rules do not allow voting in absentia or electronically.
