Information on the Academic Enrichment Fellowship:

The 2011-2012 Application is now available and assists with academic enrichment costs incurred from September 1, 2011 to August 30, 2012. The application deadline is August 3, 2012, and the awards will be disbursed in a September 2012 paycheck.

• HUCTW members with children ages 5-18 who take part in academic enrichment activities are eligible for the Academic Enrichment Fellowship.
  
  
• The Academic Enrichment Fellowship assists with the cost of supplementary academic activities such as:
  • SAT/ACT test prep classes
  • academic tutoring
  • an academically-based school program
  • an academically-based extra-curricular activity
  • an academically-based summer camp or vacation camp
  • college prep classes
  • exam fees
  • college application fees
  • summer school classes

• Unfortunately, the Academic Enrichment Fellowship only assists with strictly academic expenses and does not include programs such as art, music, and athletic programs. If your children have other non-academic expenses, which are not covered by this fellowship (such as music, art, athletic programs), please let us know about them! This information will provide valuable data to support the enhancement of the Academic Enrichment Fellowship in future negotiations. You can include this information in the comments section of your application, or send it to us in a separate email.
