• In order to receive reimbursment through this program, you must have proof of payment. Please save receipts for relevant expenses and submit these at the time you apply.

Information on the 2009 Academic Enrichment Fellowship:

• The award cycle runs from September 1, 2008 to August 30, 2009.
• Application form and instructions are available below, or contact us for a paper copy.
• The application deadline is August 1, 2009--applications will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the academic year and awards will be allocated at the end of August 2009 and will be disbursed in a September 2009 paycheck.
• The Academic Enrichment Fellowship assists with the cost of academic enrichment such as
  • SAT/ACT test prep classes
  • academic tutoring
  • an academically-based school program
  • an academically-based extra-curricular activity
  • an academically-based summer camp or vacation camp
  • college prep classes
  • exam fees
  • college application fees
• HUCTW members children ages 5-18 may apply for the Academic Enrichment Fellowship.

NOTE: The currently negotiated fund covers only academically-related costs. If you have enrichment costs that are not covered by these fellowship criteria (such as music, art, and athletic programs), please let us know about them! This information will provide valuable data to support the enhancement of the Academic Enrichment Fellowship in future negotiations. E-mail us with info on the type and amount of your other expenses.
