Special Shuttles (LMA and Allston) and Parking Options
- Medical Area
- In addition to regularly scheduled M2 shuttle runs, a special HUCTW Birthday Bus will leave from
in front of Vanderbilt Hall promptly at 4:45 pm, stop at the Landmark Center (4:50-4:55), and proceed to the
Agassiz Theater in Harvard Square without any other stops. After the event (approximately 6:30), the special
bus will return to the Longwood area. In addition, the University has agreed that it is appropriate
for Longwood area union members to have "release time" (paid work time) to leave early at 4:30 if
necessary in order to attend the birthday event. Managers with questions about release time can
contact the Harvard Office of Labor Relations at 617-495-2786.
- Allston
- A special HUCTW Birthday Shuttle will leave from in front of Teele Hall promptly at 5:00 pm,
stop at the Spangler Rotary (5:05), and proceed to the Agassiz Theater in Harvard Square without any other
stops. Of course, it is also possible to walk or use other transportation to the event. After the event
(approximately 6:45), the special shuttle will return to Teele Hall.
Agassiz Theater is a five-minute walk from the heart of Harvard Square. In addition, the University has agreed
that it is appropriate for HBS and Allston area union members to have "release time" (paid work time) to
leave work early if necessary in order to attend the birthday event. Managers with questions about release
time can contact the Office of Labor Relations at 617-495-2786.
- Parking Options
- For those who need to drive, there are parking options. If you have a yearly Parking Permit you may
park in the Harvard lots at Littauer, SEAS, the Quad, Observatory, or Bunting. If you do not have a
permit you can buy a daily pass online which allows you to park in any unreserved space in the above lots.
A map of parking lots and online daily pass purchase are available on the
Parking Office web site.
